Currently I have 12 pieces of glass and ceramics part of the ‘Nordic Craft and Design’ at Manchester Art Gallery, that’s on view till 10 November 2019. In connection with this I had a chat with Norwegian Arts about Nordic glass, Mancunian communities and Asian dining, read about it all here.

Nordic Craft and Design at Manchester Art Gallery

Nordic Craft and Design at Manchester Art Gallery

On 6th of July opens Nordic Craft and Design at Manchester Art Gallery. I'm pleased that 12 of my pieces have curated into this exhibition, including a drinking glass collection, architectural vases and a set of stoneware plates. Very excited to be exhibiting my work next to Scandinavian design heavyweights like Alvor Alto, Tapio Wirkkala and Arne Jacobson. If you can't make it down to the preview on the 5th July, it's plenty of time to catch it as it's on for a whole year.

Showcasing furniture, fashion, lighting, ceramics, glass, metalwork and jewellery, Nordic Craft and Design highlights the superb quality and creativity inherent in design from the region and features pieces from 1930 to the present day. Designers and crafts people from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden will be represented, as well as other makers who are inspired by Nordic design.
